24 Jun Case Study: Eric Cantona Event
LiveWorx Studios provided event filming, live streaming and video production for Mr Cantona’s UK nationwide tour at a variety of venues during the week-long whirlwind schedule. A seven-man team including camera ops, audio/lighting technicians and stream producers operated a host of state of the art broadcast equipment, including:
- our mobile production suite
- sound and lighting.
Sold out venues included Manchester’s Lowry Theatre, London Palladium and BIC Centre Bournemouth.
LiveWorx Studios were tasked with turning the stage at each venue into an intimate studio environment befitting of a legendary footballer who was to be asked some probing questions about his career and life as a whole. Our project manager was tasked with facilitating the ‘show AV’ to ensure a memorable experience for all of the attendees as well as a high-quality live stream with event recording required to produce a showreel ‘edit’ post-event for the event management team.
Each venue had its own challenges: The Lowry with a very tight build slot due to other bookings the venue was hosting, London Palladium with a relatively tight stage making it particularly difficult to house some of the vision equipment that had been specified, and BIC Centre’s vast 10,000 guest capacity keeping our audio department on their toes to ensure crystal clear sound reproduction from the front to the back of the auditorium.
The specification of equipment provided included:
- Blackmagic Television Studio HD
- Blackmagic Design Pocket 4k Cinema
- Canon XF400
- Stumpfl Fastfold RP Screens
- Christie Projectors
- Apple Macbook Pro for video playback & graphics
- JBL Line Array Audio System
- Sennheiser Wireless Microphones
- Yamaha Digital Desk
The client’s choice of streaming platform was Webex at the request of Mr Cantona’s management team.
